The Spartacus Bar opened in 1981 in Playa del Inglés was one of the few Gay Bars which at that time were spread all over the city.
In 1992 the Spartacus Bar moved from the Shopping Center Metro to the Yumbocenter and two years later Mirko and Andreas took over the bar. Since then not only the Spartacus has changed its face - but only the whole Yumbo has gained quality and attractivity and is now known all over the international Gay scene.
Every night the Spartacus and its guests are having a big party until dawn is breaking. On the terrace, at the bar or at the tables there are couples meeting and singles searching for a partner as well. The Spartacus often is full to bursting with nice guys from all over the world. Mirko and Andreas and their team care for a relaxed atmosphere and a pleasant ambience.
Visitors not only appreciate the wide range of coffee specialities. With over 100 cocktails we are stimulating everybody´s holiday mood. The Spartacus is the hottest place for staying up all night celebrating! The loving furnishing with its fine details is admired by many people and often copied. On the terrace you may enjoy the warm Gran Canarian nights while having a look at the coming and the going in the ground floor of the shopping center. At nights there is always something up in the Yumbo and in the Spartacus!
In 2003 the Spartacus is celebrating its 22nd Anniversary and, thus is the oldest Gay Bar in Southern Gran Canaria. On this occasion the team would like to very much thank all guests and friends for the faith and kindness they let us experience every single day.
